Outside my house..
There is a saying-'Man is a social animal'. But while trying to establish this fact and to prove it (sometimes forcefully) that its true, men, i.e., Homo sapiens, forget that first and foremost before 'social' or any such hypocritical bullshit, man is an animal. A huge explanation can be given about this but my blog is not a biological thesis so that can kept for later.. What I'm trying to say here is that in this age of convenient forgetfulness, there are some individuals who have been able to keep this identity.. even if it was a result of compulsion. As my friends who call me at night would know, my 'para' is inhabited by many street dogs who decide to converse with each other at night right when everyone falls asleep.. Which is not when i do so more often than not i have to hear them growling, barking, howling, etc. This should irritate me (and it does when i cant hear my friend whose on the phone) but it doesn't because i love them.. I used to feel me and till a certain extent my sister (her focus is mainly the cats) were the only people to love and care for these dogs till the other day when i saw this woman giving them bits to eat, scolding them like her children, talking to them like her friend.. If it was to be anyone else i would've been jealous.. But she was a tramp. She is as fat as just her skin wrapped around her bones would permit her to be. When she sleeps with her 'chadar' around her, she'l appear to be a heap of worn out cushions. Her approach towards those dogs, like giving them her meagre share of food, is absolutely 'human' (as the term was originally meant to mean). She is a woman who is completely unaware of the science related to man being an animal and blah blah.. She has seen society behave in a certain degrading way towards the animals.. Still she has the conscience enough to behave in the right way. That is what a makes a worthy personality.. Spreading happiness in her own small way.. Even if the world doesn't ever get to know of her.
